This series of documents provides a quick, informative statistical analysis of the Internet Marketing efforts of the Top 100 sites on the Internet.

Primary factors being evaluated: Traffic Rank, Total Web Traffic, Reach (visitors), Page Views Per Visitor (PVPV), Traffic Rank, Rate of Reach Increase and Rate of PVPV Increase.

Also evaluated: The effectiveness of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), SEM (Search Engine Marketing), Direct Marketing, E-Mail Marketing, PPC Marketing (Pay Per Click), Free and Paid Search Engine Submissions, Affiliate Marketing and Incoming Link Generation Efforts.

Total Web Traffic = Reach (number of visitors) x Page Views Per Visitor (PVPV)

About Alexa: Alexa.com provides a toolbar for downloading. When visitors download the toolbar, Alexa records the user's Internet usage (web sites visited and number of pages viewed).This enables Alexa to generate Traffic Rank figures for web sites. Alexa's Traffic Rank figures are considered the most accurate rankings on the Internet. Alexa's reach numbers are percentage based (percentage of Alexa toolbar users visiting a web site), while Alexa's PVPV figures are actual figures (fairly accurate, though not 100% accurate)...Alexa's Traffic Rank Figures are therefore "comparative" - not actual Total Web Traffic figures.
